The intended use
The AI is intended to run a first conversation using questions tied to a role, then summarise answers for the team. Applicants should be told before they begin that they are speaking with AI. A report should include quotes so the team can check important statements.
- A person reviews the information and decides whether to invite, follow up or decline.
- Vencur does not automatically reject applicants.
- Vencur does not analyse video, faces, expressions or emotions.
- A person should clarify answers that are hard to understand.
Limits and records
AI can shorten, misunderstand or remove context from what someone said. Answers therefore need to remain checkable. Logs are intended to show what was provided and how it was summarised; their scope and retention will be reviewed with pilot teams.
Vencur should not ask sensitive or role-irrelevant questions. Origin, accent or a particular speaking style must not be treated as a measure of suitability. The product is in pilot development, and the described controls still need validation before use.
The EU AI Act
Annex III of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 lists AI systems used for recruitment and selection as a high-risk area. The regulation entered into force on 1 August 2024; its general rules have applied since 2 August 2026. The exact classification depends on the system’s purpose and use. This information is not legal advice.
