The situation at work
A business had a good team last winter. When the season ends in spring, everyone moves on. Before the next opening, the hiring manager starts searching again—even though some former workers might be interested in returning. Asking early can reveal that interest, but only when the reason for contact and use of the data are appropriate.
A possible workflow
- Check the contact list, purpose and timing first.
- Send a short return question in the person’s language.
- Record interest, a possible start date and accommodation needs.
- Have a responsible team member confirm terms and next steps directly.
The employer sets the questions and checks which information is relevant to the role. Applicants need to understand the process and have a person they can contact with questions.
What Vencur is intended to contribute
Coming soonMultilingual return campaigns that capture a start date and accommodation needs are not generally available yet.
Season memory is intended to make contact between work periods easier. It is not an automatic contract extension and does not mean the same role is still open. Applicants need a clear way to decline or stop further messages.
Employers remain responsible for the contact purpose, legal basis, retention and deletion. Vencur should not treat an old application as unlimited permission to get in touch.
People remain part of the process
Vencur is intended to organise answers clearly. The employer checks their meaning, resolves contradictions and decides whom to invite. Automatic ranking or rejection by AI is not intended.
Frequently asked questions
What does “Vencur remembers every season” mean?
Vencur is intended to ask former seasonal workers in their language whether they plan to return and when they could start. The planned follow-up also asks about accommodation.
Is this feature available now?
No. Season memory and return campaigns are marked coming soon and are still being developed.
Does an expression of interest renew a contract?
No. It is not a job offer or contract. The employer must agree all terms directly with the worker.
Who decides which former workers can be contacted?
The employer must check that it has an appropriate reason and legal basis. Vencur does not replace that legal or operational review.
