Common roles
The exact need depends on the product and stage of production. Seasonal work may include tasks such as:
- Fruit intake, sorting and packing
- Winery, harvest and processing work
- Bottling and labelling
- Warehouse and internal goods movement
Seasonal rhythm and practical pressures
Fruit harvest can create a short peak in intake, sorting and packing. In wineries, harvest is followed by processing and bottling work. Other food producers schedule teams around orders and production plans. The season is not always one start date: teams need clear information about shifts, expected duration and travel to the site.
When a production line needs attention, a supervisor rarely has time for long phone calls. Applicants may only ask about work after their own shift; details such as start times, job tasks and language needs still have to be explained clearly. Questions should relate to the work and be fair. Vencur is meant to organise answers, not assess personal traits or screen people out.
A fictional example workflow
Fictional example — no real applicant data: A fruit processor needs sorting staff from early September. The team explains shift start, expected duration and travel. An applicant replies in Romanian and shares when they are available. The employer reviews the information and decides whether the working conditions and start date are a fit.
- The employer agrees role-related questions and time windows.
- The applicant replies in their preferred language.
- A responsible person reviews the details and decides what happens next.
Returning staff for the next season
Coming soonSomeone who helped during last year’s harvest could be asked in their language whether they plan to return before the next one. The follow-up is intended to ask directly about a start date and accommodation. This return feature is coming soon, not generally in use today.
A return enquiry is not a commitment or an employment contract. The employer confirms availability and conditions with the person. Vencur is intended to support a clear first contact and an organised hand-off to the team.

Can Vencur contact people who worked a previous harvest?
A multilingual return campaign with start-date and accommodation questions is planned and labelled coming soon.
Does Vencur assess physical ability?
No. The employer should explain the role’s requirements and review relevant information. Automatic scoring or rejection is not intended.
