The situation at work
An applicant from another EU country knows the job but can only partly understand the listing. The hiring team does not share a language for an impromptu call. Rather than leave the application unanswered because of a misunderstanding, a guided first interview could ask practical questions in an understandable language and organise the answers for review.
A possible workflow
- Prepare the role description and questions in plain language.
- Explain before the conversation that AI is involved.
- Let the applicant reply in a language they choose.
- Review translated details and ask a person to clarify open points.
The employer sets the questions and checks which information is relevant to the role. Applicants need to understand the process and have a person they can contact with questions.
What Vencur is intended to contribute
In pilot developmentMultilingual first interviews are being developed with early teams and are not generally available yet.
This can matter when a team needs to clarify availability, experience, shift options or a start date quickly. A clear summary can help, but it should not be treated as a final translation in every case. Important details can be checked directly with the applicant.
Multilingual first interviews are in pilot development; languages and scope will be agreed for each pilot. Language and origin must not become automatic filters. The employer checks qualifications.
People remain part of the process
Vencur is intended to organise answers clearly. The employer checks their meaning, resolves contradictions and decides whom to invite. Automatic ranking or rejection by AI is not intended.
Frequently asked questions
Which languages does Vencur support?
Multilingual interviews are in pilot development. Languages for a specific pilot will be agreed in advance; we are not promising a fixed, generally available list.
Does a multilingual interview replace a skills check?
No. The conversation is intended to make information easier to understand. The hiring team checks qualifications and decides what happens next.
How will answers be presented to the employer?
Vencur is developing an organised summary. The team should be able to review the information and relevant supporting quotes.
Are applicants assessed by language or nationality?
No. Language is intended to support communication, not to act as an automatic filter or selection criterion.
